1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

Your privacy is a top priority for us at Cribbo Technologies Inc. (“Cribbo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to being transparent and responsible in how we handle your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect from our users (“you”), why we collect it, how we use it, and how we protect it. This policy applies to all users, including tenants and landlords, of our website (www.rentcribbo.com) and all related services.

By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. What is Personal Information?

For the purposes of this policy, “personal information” means any information about an identifiable individual. This includes things like your name, email address, financial information, and rental history.

3. What Personal Information We Collect and Why

We limit the collection of personal information to what is necessary for the purposes identified below. We will not collect, use, or share your information for any other purpose without your consent.

3.1 Information You Provide to Us Directly

For Tenants: When you use our service to create a portable Tenant Verification Report, we collect the following information at your direction:

Identity & Contact Information: Such as your full name, email address, and phone number. We use this to create your profile, deliver your completed report, and communicate with you about our service.

Tenant Verification Information: This is the sensitive information required to generate your report. This information is only collected with your explicit consent and includes:

Credit Information: Your credit report and score, which we obtain from a third-party credit bureau on your behalf.

Income & Employment Information: Such as pay stubs, employment letters, or financial data from secure third-party services like Plaid, used to verify your financial standing.

Rental & Employment History: Including contact information for your previous landlords and employers, which we use to conduct reference checks.

The sole purpose of collecting this information is to create a comprehensive and accurate Tenant Verification Report for you.

For Landlords: When you use our services to market a property, we collect:

Identity & Contact Information: Such as your full name, email address, and phone number. We use this to create and manage your account, facilitate communication, and for our service agreements.

Property Information: Such as the rental property address and listing details. We use this to create your public rental listing that is visible to potential tenants.

Your trust is essential to us. We only use and share your information for the purposes we’ve described and with your consent.

You Are in Control of Your Tenant Report: This is the most important part of our privacy promise. We will never share your Tenant Verification Report with a landlord or agent unless you explicitly instruct us to do so. You control your data. The service is designed for you to generate a report that you can then choose to share with prospective landlords as you see fit.

We have agreements with these partners that require them to keep your information secure and confidential, and they are only permitted to use it for the specific service they provide to us. These include:

Credit Bureaus (e.g., Equifax)

Financial Data Partners (e.g., Plaid)

Cloud Hosting Providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services)

Analytics and Advertising Partners

For Marketing and Communications: We will only send you commercial electronic messages, such as emails about new services, promotions, or lease renewal reminders, if you have provided your express consent to receive them. You can withdraw this consent at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of every marketing email.

For Legal and Safety Reasons: We may be required to share information to comply with a legal obligation (like a court order), to protect our rights and property, or to prevent illegal activity. We will only do so where legally required.

5. Use of Anonymized and Aggregated Data

After the retention period for personal information has expired (for example, 120 days for tenant verification documents), we may anonymize and aggregate the data. We do this by removing all personal identifiers and grouping the information into broad statistical categories.

Purpose: We use this anonymized data for internal purposes, such as generating statistical reports, analyzing rental market trends, and improving our services. This data cannot be used to re-identify any individual.
